Interview Practice With Private Playback

Run two short practice interviews using questions matched to one real job, program, scholarship, or volunteer role the teen selects. Record only the second round with permission, then let the teen review it privately and choose one strength and one response to revise before deleting or keeping the file.

01

Make it personal without making it generic

Use the teen's actual examples and let them choose interviewer style, camera use, breaks, and whether any adult sees playback.

Presentation

Give a private appointment card naming the real opportunity and promising that the recording belongs only to the teen.

02

Check the practical fit

Space
Needs one private quiet room and produces only a page or file the teen controls.
Skill
The interviewer should practice neutral follow-up questions and give evidence-based feedback rather than hiring claims.
Maintenance
Delete practice recordings immediately unless the teen explicitly keeps them, and revisit only for a new real opportunity.
Accessibility
Offer questions in advance, text or speech responses, camera-off practice, processing time, captioned playback, and communication aids.
Sustainability
The service uses an existing device and a reusable question set with no purchased interview props.
Timing
Schedule far enough before the real interview for rest and one optional retry, not the stressful night before.
